Is Laser Hair Removal Safe?

A capitalistic economy is one where consumer demands force changes in the types and quality of products available to consumers. As a personal injury attorney in Boca I have seen my fair share of defective product lawsuits. Recently a potential client called us asking “is laser hair removal safe?” I have to admit that I had to take a step back and look at some statistics before answering the question.

The obsession of removing unwanted hair is something humans have been struggling with for hundreds of years. Today when it comes to removing unwanted hair you have three choices:
  • Shaving or tweezing
  • Chemical depilatories or waxing
  • Laser hair removal
With the exception of shaving tweezing, chemical depilatories, hair removal waxes and laser hair removal machines fall under the supervision of the FDA. This means that all products use by spots throughout the US - "should be FDA"!

Nevertheless the number of accidents and incidents surrounding the removal of unwanted hair is on the rise nationally. Talking to the manager of a Miami laser hair removal spa I have come to the conclusion that this cases share many things in common. The most common one is technicians who lack experience and or I'm not properly trained on the procedure and the second is use or implementation of the treatment without following the manufacturer’s recommendations. Laser hair removal is not for everyone people of darker complexion may not get the results expected of advertised. While common side effects of laser hair removal consist of swelling around the hair follicle and redness the subsidized within hours there had been reported cases of burning pain that persisted for weeks and loan stripes that will turn dark over time.

As a personal injury attorney in Boca Raton Florida I think that in general laser hair removal is relatively safe however one should consider a facility under the supervision of a medical profession and stay away from non-physician staff that may have minimal training. There are many state-of-the-art laser spas offering laser hair removal in Miami. Don't fall victim of advertising trying to save a couple of dollars when it comes to your health and body. It is rare the case when paying a little more means getting a little less and if injured by a laser hair removal procedure or any other service received had a non-medical facility like the so-called medical spas contact a personal injury attorney right away.

Car Accident Personal Injury - Steps to Follow

If you've been injured in a car accident, your actions following the accident and records of the event play an important role in any insurance settlement for personal injury.

There are a number of important steps you can take to help the insurance company make decisions and ensure that you the care necessary to recover from your injuries without having to hired a personal injury attorney.

Treat All Car Accidents Seriously
If you're involved in a car accident, no matter how minor it seems, make sure that you file a police report.  Car insurance companies rely heavily on police reports to determine the facts in the accident. Documentation related to your accident goes a long way in helping you settle your personal injury claim.  In addition, if you decide to hire a personal injury lawyer, this documentation will be needed to support your case.

See a Doctor as Soon as Possible
If possible, see a doctor immediately after the accident. If Paramedics or EMTs are at the scene of the accident, let them evaluate you and follow their advice.

Even if you think you are going to be ok, you should call your doctor to discuss the accident and get his advice.  In many cases, there is a delay in the onset of symptoms following an accident and you may not feel the effects of an injury for hours or days. If you haven't called a doctor already, make an appointment as soon as possible.

In Florida, if you are not evaluated by a doctor within 14 days of your accident, you may lose your insurance benefits.

Tell the Doctor about the Accident
In order to meet the requirements for a personal injury claim, it is essential to establish a direct connection between the car accident and your injury.  Make sure that you let your doctor know that you were in an accident and that you think your injuries are related and make sure these facts are communicated to your Personal Injury Attorney.

Keep a Medical Diary
Personal injury lawyers often recommend that you keep a medical diary to document how your injury affects your daily activities and how you respond to treatment.  A medical diary can be used as evidence to help determine a settlement for expenses plus pain and suffering in court.

Your medical diary should include:
·         Dates, times and outcomes of all medical appointments and consultations.
·         Details explaining how your injuries have changed your daily life. For example:
o   Do you have more difficulty dressing, showering, or taking care of yourself?
o   Are you unable to work, or have you had to make changes to the way you work because of the injury?
o   Have you missed any professional opportunities, such as interviews, because of your injury?
o   Are there things you are no longer able to do because of the injury?
·         Describe your pain and other symptoms as precisely as possible.
·         Note any and all medications prescribed for you.
·         As you write your diary, keep in mind that it may be used as evidence for or against you in court. As much as possible, keep your tone clinical unless describing emotional pain and suffering.

Document All Your Expenses
If you have any expenses related to your treatment, document the expenses and keep receipts.  Expenses may include:
·         Car Rental
·         Transportation
·         Parking
·         Medication Costs
·         Time/wages lost from work to keep appointments

Make Sure You Follow Your Doctor’s Advice
Following your doctor’s advice is not only important for optimizing your recovery, it serves to protect you in any claim for personal injuries. Your personal injury case may be jeopardized if you do not follow the advice given to you by your doctor. Make sure that you follow up with all recommended treatment, diagnostic tests and specialist consultations.

Are Lambo Doors Safe?

If you drive up and down Boca they may be hard to detect but the number of cars with Lambo Doors is growing every day! Lambo doors are also known as vertical or scissor doors and they get their name from the close reassemble to those employed by the car maker Lamborghini, an Italian super car manufacture known for pushing the envelope when it comes to design. Lambo is street slang for Lamborghini, and this style of doors became famous by several Lamborghini models including the Countach, Diablo and Murcielago.

Lambo door are unique because they open upward from back to front, pivoting at the front door hinge forward, just behind the fender and resting in a vertical position. Today, you can order lambodoor conversion kits for a wide variety of American and imported cars and trucks. While Lamborghini (the car manufacturer) has done plenty of testing and engineering research to assure their cars meets DOT safety specs. We were not able to find any data on, how safe are lambo doors?

There are not enough vehicles on the road with aftermarket lambo door conversion kits to trigger action from the department of transportation and even if they were, very few aftermarket parts and accessories are require to meet the specs of original manufacturer equipment unless they are a replacement part.

While lambo doors, scissor doors, vertical doors or whatever you want to call them make a statement when it come to styling, the concern is about how this type of car door will behave in the event of an accident. How would first responders know that the car doors don't open outwards but rather vertically up? As a Boca car accident attorney I don't have an answers for this question but intrigue about the lack of date available on this subject!

Burt Reynolds facing financial hardship!

Debt Relief attorneys ads make it sound like filing bankruptcy is an everyday occurrence and debt consolidation agencies make it sound like bankruptcy is an evil act! In my line of work, I deal with several Miami foreclosure and bankruptcy attorneys. Everyone of these continuously say to me that bankruptcy is the best way to reset you credit when struggling with debt. They contently explain how big corporations such as Win Dixie and the rich and famous use bankruptcy to their benefit.

On December 11 and 12, 2014 at The Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada a very unique auction will be taking place. On the auction block you will find a stagecoach use by Burt Reynolds and his now ex-wife Loni Anderson during their wedding back in 1988. Also for sale Reynolds' awards, a few personal items such his famous Smokey and the Bandit embroidered Western shirt, a pair of cowboy boots from the film Striptease and several other artifacts. Although the actor denies that he is broke numerous allegation as well as facts point to the contrary.

Reynolds is no stranger to financial hardship and has filed for bankruptcy in the past. The actors' West Palm Beachbankruptcy Lawyer is also helping him save his house from Foreclosure. The mortgage holder (Bank of America) claims Reynolds hasn't made a single mortgage payment since Sept. 1, 2010. The property in question is a 12,500 sq. ft. mansion in Jupiter, Florida the actor has owned since the late 80's.

The bottom line is that whether you are rich, famous, young, old or otherwise, financial hardship does not discriminate. My friend Ken who is a successful real estate developer almost when broke after a car accident where he was not at fault. If it wasn't that he hired an experience car accident attorney in Boca, he would have been facing hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical expenses. So if a car accident, medical bills, divorce or simply unemployed bankruptcy is something we should be familiar with and good bankruptcy attorney is something we should all have in our contact list!

Do you know what to do after an accident?

It is Thanksgiving 2014 and although everybody's planning for the upcoming holiday season my friend Hannah is seeking the help of the Hialeah bankruptcy attorney. She was hurt on a simple bumper-to-bumper car accident where she suffered a whiplash injury that did not present itself for weeks after the accident.

Thanks to the Florida legislation, who changed the personal injury protection law (PIP) as of January 1, 2013 motorist who are injured in an accident have only 14 days to seek medical help otherwise they forfeit their claim for such injuries. This legislation was passed in an effort to prevent insurance for but really call it is done is increase insurance premiums while providing fewer benefits for policyholders who are injured as a result of a car accident. It's bad enough that Florida requires drivers to carry a $10,000 PIP policy intended to cover medical expenses as a result of an accident but now if you fail to seek medical attention within the given time you will forfeit those rights. Hannah has already hired a prominent Miamipersonal injury attorney but even the lawyer said that the case is going to be a battle to her lapse in seeking medical attention.

What started as a stiff neck has now turned into a disabling pain requiring therapy and rehabilitation. These amounts to thousands of dollars in medical expenses she's not able to afford not to mention the number of days missed from work. According to the Hialeahbankruptcy attorney she has consulted it is likely she will need to file a chapter 7 bankruptcy after all of this is said and done.

It is obvious who the politicians were working for when this legislation was passed but now you know what to do in the event of an accident. Nobody how big or small there is three things you need to do. First call the police and file a report. Second, seek medical help within 14 days if you feel any type of discomfort, you suffered any type of laceration including airbag burns! And there but not least, higher the best Miami car accident attorney you can find.

According to lobbyists and insurance company leaders the legislation was designed with the intent to lower insurance fraud. This measure over time was supposed to lower insurance rates. What has happened is that we have seen a tremendous increase in rates do to the fact that people I'm now seeking medical attention as a preventative measure. This is as a direct result of the limited window insurance policies now have when it comes to medical attention as a result of a car accident. So if you are involve in at accident remember, use your phone, call 911, take pictures and call an experience car accident attorney.
